PENETRATION AND THE CYANIDE PILLS
Penetration took their name from an Iggy & the Stooges song. They were hugely popular on the live scene but imploded before they achieved the success they deserved & split up in 1979.
Their single Don’t Dictate is one of the classic punk songs and the debut album Moving Targets is one of the finest albums of the genre.
They reformed in 2000 for a one off gig and have continued to play live ever since. They have also recorded some new material as well along the way.
In August 2012 the band played the Georgian Theatre selling out in record time and now makes a return visit. Support comes from Newcastle band Rexine who were such a hit when supporting Viv Albertine and Sylvain Sylvain.
