Indignation Meeting are punky rail fans from Leeds. 15-year-old Peter is the driver – he’s the drummer and lead singer, writes most of the songs, and also plays trumpet and keyboards on the album.
The rest of the crew is his dad Michael on guitar, Hugo on bass, Keith on guitar and Heather and Sally often along for the ride when they play out.
A Model World is their second album, following the self-released debut Trouble In The Shed which we released on vinyl for the first time earlier this year. It’s more songs about railways and trains, with a bit of geography and politics thrown in for good measure. It’s full of catchy tunes and witty lyrics just like the first album, but clearly Peter’s songwriting has developed and matured since then – and so it should, as he’d reached the ripe old age of 14 by the time he wrote and recorded this album!
