Billy Childish excels in painting, music, writing, and more. Childish has recorded over 125 LPs, published five novels and 40-plus collections of poetry in his 37-year career.

Born in 1959 in Chatham, Kent, he left school due to undiagnosed dyslexia, later entering St Martin’s School of Art with a portfolio of 600 drawings he produced while taking an apprenticeship. Despite expulsion for his outspoken views, he spent 15 years on the dole, persistently creating.
