Peter Fox

Peter Fox is a legendary DJ who was based around Croydon in the heyday of punk and pub rock in the seventies.

Peter did the introduction on the recent compilation album ‘Are They Hostile? – Croydon Punk & New Wave 1977-1985’ and has also just released an audiobook version of the Simon Williams book on Johnny Moped called ‘1-2 Cut Your Hair – The Story Of Johnny Moped’

Former resident DJ at the height of New Wave and punk in 1977 at the famous Croydon Greyhound with the top bands such as Ian Dury, Talking Heads, The Ramones and Siouxsie and the Banshees to name but a few.He then moved up a notch to become the resident DJ at the Music Machine in Camden until it changed names to the Camden Palace, now called Koko’s. After this adventure he DJ’d at various venues in London including the Zig Zag Club, The Venue, The Lyceum, The Electric Ballroom, and The Golf Club/ The Pits to name but a few.

In 1985 He then became the resident DJ at the notoriously infamous Croydon Underground club.

Foxy Radio has been broadcasting for over four years. I present a two-hour radio show combining music and guests who to date have been a wonderful mix of celebrities, artists, authors, play writes, entrepreneurs, footballers, comedians, and actors. They talk to me and introduce their own choices of music. Some of his guests to date have been Suzi Quatro, Captain Sensible, Clem Burke, Charlie Mullins (Pimlico Plumbers) Gary Crowley, Ken Follet author, Carol Hawkins actress, Chazz Jankel, Brian Jones, Rat Scabies, Stuart Pearce, David Barry actor.
