On 16th March 2025 Johnny Moped played two sets at The Prince Albert in Brighton. In the afternoon they played an acoustic set. They had a quick break for some fish, chips and ice cream before playing a full electric show in the evening.
The afternoon acoustic set was recorded for a live album which we now present to you! So here they are – Johnny Moped stripped-down in all their glory playing a selection of their most-loved tracks! The vinyl LP is pressed on random colour eco vinyl (though all the ones we’ve opened so far have been the same lovely colour you see below) …

A QUICK Q&A WITH DRUMMER MARTY LOVE…
When did you first play live acoustically and what gave you the idea to record a live acoustic album?
ML: Rebellion 2022 I think. Public demand
What are your three favourite tacks on the album?
ML: ‘I’m a Spasm’ – Just a brilliant version. ‘Super Woofa’ – We don’t often play it, so it was nice to play it live again. And the arrangements are really good. ‘Wee Wee’ – It just makes me laugh.
What other bands would you like to see playing acoustically?
ML: Nine Inch Nails, Stray Cats, Blur.
What are the plans for Johnny Moped in the future…more acoustic or more big rock!
ML: Stadium ROCK!
Anything else you’d like to impart about the album or where you are musically now? ML: It’s a fun album and it’s for our suffering fans. Musically we’re in 1977.
